Ok
I think it would be alot more cheaper to simply update my crappy computer, rather then buying a whole new one.........(right???!!)

So what i need to upgrade is my processor speed (currently 701 or 751mhz, dunno which one, cant remember lol) i want 1.5ghz and higher, my disk space, which is currently bouncing back and forth between 169mb to 206mb (id like to get 60-100gb), a graphic card ( 3D Acceleration card with 64 MB Video RAM or better/// thats the mim. requirement for a game i want!), and also a flat screen monitor, but i know where to get a good deal on those (TigerDirect!)

(Here's three products i think are nice:
Processor ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingReview.asp?Item=N82E16819104249 )
External Hard Drive ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822218001 )
Graphic/Video Card ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125191 )
What do you guys think??, and would that VideoCard work for the min. requirements for that game i want!?)

also what i REALLY need help on is knowing what brand/type or kind of processor and hard drive i can use for my CPU. I dont have any kind of guide becuase my computer was made for me by a friend of the family, who we arent in contact with any more........so its not like i bought it from a compnay i can call and ask.

Or does it not even really matter??
And could i upgrade it myself? or should i take it to the pros to put together once i buy it all??? or could someone on here simply tell me how to install the stuff or is there like instructions on how to do it when you buy it???

(And what about external hard drives??, are they simply used for backup, or could they be used as a regular, internal hard drive??)

THANKS TO ANYONE WHO READS MY LONG ASS POST! Lolz!!

And one more thing! (yes yes, i knowww, it'll be short.....lmao!)
Im a pretty computer knowledge person, so i know about overclocking, but not enough......could someone help me understand that a little more?

Thx!!

1. You will need to know if your motherboard and handle a faster processor, but more important what type of processor it would take. You have different sockets for processor, if your current board is running 700MHz iot is doubfull that you could put a 1.5Ghz in it. EVEREST will tell you the make and model of your motherboard.

2. A Hard Drive is a Hard Drive whether it is inside or outside of the computer.

3. Video Card, same as above you have to find out what kind the motherboard will support. AGP? PCI?
