In the fantastic years of 1987, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1996 and 1999, Jacky had sung the best and reknowned songs from 1985 to 1999. Each concert had a theme. The titles he had given to three of his concerts also have a significance. Each represent his special relationship he has with his fans: 1993 - "Jacky and Friends '93 Concert", 1995 - "'95 Friends of Jacky Concert", and 1999 - "Someone (Friend) Concert 1999". His first concerts in 1987 he sung only 13 songs (including the prelude), with a few notable guests including Mr. Jackie Chan. I would like to see this concert on VCD and/or DVD one day. In 1991, he invited Miss Rosamund Kwan Chi-lam to be his concert's performing special guest for a few songs which forms part of his "short story". In 1993, the highlights also include that Donald Duck tuxedo he worn for a part of his concert. 1995 was a year I never forget. He made his first concerts overseas including the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. He performed at the Sydney Entertainment Centre for two nights. The audiences were estatic to see the man live, performing before their eyes! It was the first time I heard the beautiful song of "Li Xianglan". It gave me a feeling of tranquility and it felt heavenly. 1996 was lovely experience, for he dedicated "Your Name, My Surname" to his loving wife and soulmate - May Lo. 1999 was special that it was a nice "no frills" concert with only the musicians and his lovely singing voice. It's the first time he gave that type of performance on his worldwide concert tours. I hope you will enjoy each concert experience. |
